Kristallnacht Commemoration program - Sunday, November 10th beginning at 11:00 A.M., followed by refreshments.
November 9-10 is Kristallnacht remembrance. Kristallnacht, literally, "Night of Crystal," is often referred to as the "Night of Broken Glass." The name refers to the wave of violent anti-Jewish pogroms which took place on November 9 and 10, 1938. This wave of violence took place throughout Germany, annexed Austria, and in areas of the Sudetenland, in Czechoslovakia recently occupied by German troops.
We plan to remember those who were so sorely affected on these days in 1938.
We would like you to join us IN PERSON on SUNDAY NOVEMBER 10 in the Center to remember those who sacrificed their lives for their families and Judaism.
The program on Sunday, November 10 will be as follows:
Breakfast Club Meeting from 9:30 am - 11:00 am.
Kristallnacht program starting at 11:00 am.
There will be candles lit by members and attendees. Those who would like to light candles or even speak about Kristallnacht and their personal experiences may please inform Lynne in the office by Thursday, November 7th.
Refreshments following the Kristallnacht program.
